MAINTENANCE OF VELVETS

Lizzo is well known for its wide range of exquisite velvets. In particular, our speciality is velvets of natural fibers, such as cotton, linen, silk and alpaca, mixed with viscose. While many polyester velvets are washable, velvets of natural fibers should be professionally dry cleaned. However they can be maintained with a soft and dry brush to remove surface dust. Many velvets can also be ironed on the reverse side of the cloth, with an iron at a very low temperature.

The beauty of velvets of natural fibers is that the surface appearance is enhanced with age, maturing with the patina of time.

Lizzo es conocida por su amplia gama de exquisitos terciopelos. En particular, nuestra especialidad son los terciopelos de fibras naturales, como algodón, lino, seda y alpaca, mezclado en algunos casos con viscosa. Mientras que muchos terciopelos de poliéster son lavables, los terciopelos de fibras naturales deben limpiarse en seco profesionalmente. Sin embargo, para un mejor mantenimiento, es recomendable utilizar un cepillo suave y seco para eliminar el polvo de la superficie. Muchos terciopelos también pueden ser planchados por el reverso de la tela, siempre a una baja temperatura. 

Una de la características de los terciopelos de fibras naturales es que su belleza se realza, adquiriendo valor y distinción con la pátina del tiempo.
